NEWS - 05/12/2011 - ANIMATED CHARACTERS THAT SOUND BETTER WHEN VOICED BY DAVE CALLAN

Like Bob Franklin, Dave agreed, on a whim, to get on the Mollusks bandwagon before the show resembled anything substantial. A few months prior to Mollusks, I saw Dave's Melbourne Fringe Festival show, Woman, and thought to my self how his distinctive larynx would make for an awesome animated character. I wrote Fergal specifically with Dave's voice in mind, so I was pumped as a yabbie when he agreed to get amongst it.

Dave backed-up his 2010 fringe festival show with this years performance, Radio Gaga, based around listener calls he received during his long-time radio hosting of Triple J's The Graveyard Shift. He also appeared regularly in the early series of Rove, specifically the segment know as "Words That Sound Better When Said by Dave".
